What is our mission?

A Reflection by Coach Benjamin Sandoval

"When I was a young soccer player, my parents were not able to afford all of fees. There were people whe helped, and I made it all the way to the national professional team in Mexico.

What I'm doing  now, here in Colorado, is paying forward what someone else did for me. I am fortunate to have a good business so I can afford to pay the fees for my own boys, but many other very talented players need financial assistance as I did when I was their age. My business has been able to help many players through the years, but the need is greater than one person or business can afford. Our partnership with Service Safari a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit allows others to help and receive tax deductable receipt.

My life has been blessed as I have watched the young men I have coached develop important skills for both soccer and life. I emphasize disciple and as they practice and learn, they have pushed themselves to higher levels of competion. Being a part of a competative team requires additional funding, both for club fees adn for travel expenses. Many gifted and dedicated players are forced to drop out unless someone steps in to help.

Several of my players have worked hard and reached a level that brought them invitations to play for the Rapid's Academy where all of their expenses are covered by the Colorado Rapids organization. Some have received college scholarships."

Your financial assistance will be dedicated to helping worthy young men and women have the opportunity to be a part of an experience that will forever shape their lives in a positive direction."

club soccer promotes maturity and teaches discipline

Service Safari was established nearly twenty years ago to assist adolescents in their journey into successful adult life. A few years ago, the projects Service Safari had invested in came to a completion. Recently we decided to take advantage of a new opportunity that fit perfectly with our goal of helping adolescents become adults successfully.

Team sports such as soccer teach important life lessons, like working together to reach your goals, developing leadership skills and most importantly, self discipline.

Let's start building together

You can help coach Ben make a difference in his players lives, so that they in turn can learn how to make a difference and be successful, contributing citizens in their communities by making a contribution to Service Safari’s Level the Playing Field – Soccer project. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation from Service Safari and Coach Ben will be able to make sure that the qualified players who would not otherwise have the funds to cover fees and expenses can have an equal ability to play.

Anyone may donate to Service Safari and designate the donation for the Level The Playing Field project. However, donations may not be designated for specific players by anyone if a tax deductible receipt is needed for the donation. Parents of players receiving scholarships will not receive a tax deductible receipt for donations designated to this project. Anyone wishing to contribute to Coach Benjamin’s teams who does not need a tax-deductible receipt should ask him to explain that process.
